1° C.D. ‘Cesare Battisti’ (ITALY) is a nursery and primary school situated in the historical centre of Catania, Sicily.

The ethos of the school is based on the principles of understanding, responsibility and reflexive and creative thinking, in order to construct a living community of enquire.

The ‘Circolo Didattico’ “Cesare Battisti” has taken on the responsibilities deliniated in the United Nations Charter for the Rights of Children.

It strongly believes in close cooperation with parents in the interest of the child’s education and in acknowledging the fact that children have important needs apart from their basic needs and that these include love, comprehension and security.
